Three Hundred DVD’s Now Available in Ingleside Lending Library
Ingleside at King Farm has a wonderful lending library available for our members. The library was put together with book and periodical donations and the efforts of our talented members who serve on the Library Committee. Today, we hear the latest news, from one of them.
While cataloguing the recently donated DVD's, my thoughts turned to how the DVD Library had grown since I started it.
Shortly after moving into Ingleside three years ago, I joined the Library Committee. The library consists of books donated by residents when they move to Ingleside. The second year my suggestion, to the committee, was to have DVD's available, to the residents, in addition to the books. They approved my suggestion and gave me the responsibility for the DVD Library. The committee chairman told me to use the empty shelves in the Computer Room, which is next to the Library.
I donated seven DVD's to start, along with a staff member’s, who donated some. My request entered in the weekly update to residents, for donations and an announcement that there were DVD's that residents could borrow, was a success. Our DVD Library now consists of almost 300 DVD's.
